Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-07-18

These are the terms for using ModelHubby. They are written in plain language because you should actually be able to read them. ModelHubby is operated by a solo founder — J. Peter Wheeler, trading as CHAOSAiGENT (“we”, “us”). You can reach us any time at hello@jpeterwheeler.com. By using the site, CLI, or a paid plan, you agree to these terms.

1. What the service is (and isn’t)

ModelHubby is an information product and tooling: a maintained registry of free and free-tier LLM inference providers, plus guides, recipes, kits, a CLI, and a local gateway. We sell access to that research and tooling. We do not sell inference, tokens, or API credits, and we do not proxy your traffic through our servers.

  • Third-party providers are theirs, not ours. Your use of any provider’s API is governed by that provider’s own terms. We give no uptime guarantee for third-party providers — they change limits, retire models, and shut down without asking us.
  • Catalog accuracy is best-effort. We verify what we can (probes, official sources) and show verification dates and provenance on every record. “Unknown” means unknown. Facts can go stale between checks; don’t bet production systems on a single catalog entry without checking the source.
  • No professional advice. Guides and recipes are engineering research, not legal or compliance advice about any provider’s terms.

2. Accounts

Sign-in is by magic link / one-time code to your email (via the VaibOS spine — one login across VaibOS products). Keep your email accurate and your inbox secure; anything done through your session is on you. You must be old enough to form a contract where you live. We may close accounts that abuse the service (see section 6), and you can close yours any time by emailing us.

3. Payment, renewal, cancellation

  • Stripe processes all payments. We never see or store your card number.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically (monthly or annually, per your plan) until you cancel. Cancel any time via the Stripe billing portal or by emailing us; you keep access through the end of the period you already paid for.
  • Lifetime: a single payment, no renewal, and no cap on how many are sold. There is no subscription to cancel, and access doesn’t lapse. If we raise Indie’s price later, a lifetime purchase already made is unaffected.
  • Price changes for standard plans only take effect at your next renewal, with advance notice by email.
  • Taxes (e.g. VAT) may be added where required.

4. Refunds

Short version: 14 days, no questions asked, on your first purchase of any paid plan. The full policy lives at /refunds.

5. Your license to the content

Paid content (full guides, recipes, kits, friction data) is licensed to you for building your own projects — including commercial ones. What you build with it is entirely yours. What you may not do is republish, resell, or bulk-redistribute the catalog or paid content itself as a competing product. Quoting reasonable excerpts with attribution is fine and encouraged.

6. Acceptable use

  • Don’t scrape or mass-export paid content or the catalog.
  • Don’t use our guides to violate a provider’s terms (e.g. mass fake-account farming). We document friction honestly; how you act on it is your responsibility.
  • Don’t attack, overload, or probe the service itself, and don’t use it for anything unlawful.
  • Indie is a single-person licence. Don’t share one login across a whole team.

7. Disclaimers & limits of liability

The service is provided “as is”. We work hard to keep the catalog accurate and the tools reliable, but we make no warranty that either is error-free, and we are not liable for what third-party providers do (bans, quota cuts, outages, pricing pivots). To the maximum extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that can’t legally be limited (e.g. for fraud), and nothing here overrides consumer rights that apply where you live.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we’ll email account holders and update the date stamped at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you don’t, cancel and section 4 applies where relevant.

9. Disputes

If something goes wrong, email us first — hello@jpeterwheeler.com — and we’ll genuinely try to fix it. These terms are governed by the law of the operator’s place of establishment, without depriving you of mandatory consumer protections where you live.

Questions about any of this? Write to hello@jpeterwheeler.com — a human (the only one here) reads every message.
